GREYHOUNDS MOVE BACK TO FIRST IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION IN NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team moved back into first in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the fourth NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released publicly Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 23-2 overall and posted a 14-0 mark in Landmark Conference regular season action, are 23-2 in regional action, the main basis for the rankings.  Moravian was first in the region in the first two polls of the year before being passed this week when Lebanon Valley College, 21-1 in region, moved ahead of the Greyhounds.  Lebanon Valley fell to third this week.

Moravian has played several regionally ranked teams this season, defeating fifth-ranked The University of Scranton, 73-63 in Scranton and 77-60 in Bethlehem last Saturday, and falling to second-ranked Muhlenberg College, 84-71.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, February 24th in a Landmark Conference Semifinal game versus Susquehanna University beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall.
