MORAVIAN’S DEL PRIORE, HECK & KING NAMED TO CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

LANCASTER, PA --- Sophomore running back Rocco Del Priore (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh HS), junior kicker Ian Heck (Easton, PA/Easton HS) and sophomore defensive back Travis King (Wilmington, DE/Concord HS) of the Moravian College football team have been named to the Centennial Conference Weekly Honor Roll for their performances in the Greyhounds’ 12-6 conference victory over Susquehanna University Saturday afternoon to open the 2010 Centennial Conference season.

Del Priore, pictured at right, led the Moravian rushing attack in his first career start with 76 yards on 24 carries including a five-yard touchdown run in the game. He also had one reception for six yards.  Del Priore had just 12 carries for 26 yards in ten games as a freshman.

Heck, pictured at left, connected on a 25-yard field goal with 1:25 remaining in the first half to give Moravian a 10-3 halftime lead.  He also averaged 58.7 yards per kickoff with one touchback.

King, pictured at right, made seven tackles with four solo stops and had one tackle for loss for two yards in the victory.  King’s biggest play was an interception with 2:55 remaining on Susquehanna’s final possession.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 11th in a Centennial Conference game at McDaniel College kicking off at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster, Maryland.
