TWO GREYHOUNDS RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College field hockey team has two individuals ranked in the third NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2010 season for contests through September 26th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in three categories.

Senior midfielder Maureen Helfers (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke HS), pictured at right, is tied for 13th in the country with an average of 0.88 assists per game, with seven assists in Moravian’s opening eight matches of the year.

Sophomore forward Briana Van Buskirk (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg HS), pictured at left, is tied for 35th in goals per game at 1.00 after eight goals in eight matches.

Moravian is tied for 19th in the nation in assists per match at 2.25, and the Greyhounds 44th in points per game at 7.75 and 50th in penalty corners per game at 9.25.

The Greyhounds, who are 4-5 on the season, will return to action on Saturday, October 2nd versus Juniata College in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
