FOUR MORAVIAN SOFTBALL PLAYERS EARN SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS FROM NFCA

STARKVILLE, MS --- Four members of the Moravian College softball team have been named 2009-10 girls got game/NFCA Division III Scholar-Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

For a student-athlete to earn Scholar-Athlete honors, the player must have maintained a 3.50 or better grade-point average during the 2009-10 academic year.  There were a total of 778 NCAA Division III student-athletes that earned Scholar-Athlete honors. 

Amanda Paulus (Easton, PA/Easton HS) and Elizabeth Python (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman HS) are both returning for their senior seasons at Moravian and achieved Scholar-Athlete status for the Greyhounds while sophomores to-be Shannen Mohr (Slatington, PA/Parkland HS) and Alyssa Fegely (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights HS) were also named Scholar-Athletes.

The 2011 Greyhound softball team will begin its season with a trip to the National Training Center in Claremont, Florida beginning on March 5th.
