MORAVIAN’S LUCAS SMITH HONORED AS EMPIRE 8 CONFERENCE MEN’S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- Senior Lucas Smith (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing HS) of the Moravian College golf team has been named the Empire 8 Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Smith earned medalist honors in the 75-player field at the Elizabethtown College Blue Jay Classic last Thursday as Moravian placed fourth of 14 teams.  Smith shot a two-over par 74 on the Hershey Links course, the third time he has earned medalist honors in his career and his 11th career top-five finish.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Monday, October 11th at the Bent Creek Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall College at the Bent Creek Country Club.
