SENIOR MAUREEN HELFERS RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Senior midfielder Maureen Helfers (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team is ranked in the sixth NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2010 season for contests through October 17th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in three categories.

Helfers is tied for 43rd in the country with an average of 0.54 assists per game, with seven assists in Moravian’s 13 matches this year.  Helfers had her seven assists in the first six matches of the season.

Moravian is tied for 30th in defensive saves with a total of ten this season, and the Greyhounds are tied for 37th in the nation in save percentage at .800 and ranked 49th in goals-against average at 1.65.

The Greyhounds, who are 5-9 on the season, will return to action on Thursday, October 21st versus Neumann University in a make-up non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
