MORAVIAN TO TRAVEL TO WILKES UNIVERSITY IN ECAC SOUTHEAST BOWL GAME

CAPE COD, MA --- The Moravian College football team has been awarded a berth in the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Southeast Bowl Championship game on Saturday, November 20th, and the Greyhounds will travel to Wilkes University at Ralston Field in Edwardsville at 12:00 p.m.

Moravian, which is 6-4 on the season, is making its fifth appearance in the ECAC Championships, playing the Southeast game in 2002 and the Southwest game in 2004, 2005 and 2008.  The Greyhounds won the 2005 contest with a 14-7 victory at Frostburg State University. Moravian has just one home game in five trips to the ECAC Championships back in 2008.

The Colonels, who are also 6-4 on the year, are making their eighth appearance in the ECAC Championships.  Wilkes won the South Atlantic title in 2002 and the Southeast championship in 1994 and 1999.

The Greyhounds have won four-straight games after a 14-13 victory over rival Muhlenberg College, the Centennial Conference representative to the NCAA Tournament.

Saturday’s other two ECAC South Bowl games include Centennial Conference rival Johns Hopkins University (8-2) hosting Lebanon Valley College (6-4) in the South Atlantic Bowl game and Centennial Conference rival Franklin & Marshall College (6-4) at Washington & Jefferson College (8-2) in the Southwest Bowl game. Official kickoff times will be set on Monday by the host schools.
