MORAVIAN’S AMY HEFFNER NAMED TO D3HOOPS.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK PRESENTED BY SCOUTWARE

MINNEAPOLIS, MN --- Senior forward Amy Heffner (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland HS) of the Moravian College women’s basketball team has been named to the first D3hoops.com Team of the Week Presented by Scoutware for the 2010-11 season.

Heffner posted three double-doubles in the first four games of the season, and has been Moravian's leading scorer in each game with career highs in the last three contests.  Heffner, who was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Residence Inn by Marriott/Gywnedd-Mercy College Tip-Off Tournament, averaged 19.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the Greyhounds, and she shot 21-of-51 from the floor, 10-of-23 on three-pointers and 25-of-34 at the foul line through four games.  Heffner played 140 of 160 minutes during the week with six assists, six steals and a blocked shot.

Moravian is now 2-3 on the season after Heffner scored another career high 30 points in a 66-46 win over DeSales University on Tuesday, and the Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, December 1st in a non-conference game versus Neumann University in Johnston Hall with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
