MORAVIAN SOFTBALL SQUAD SLIPS TO 25TH IN LATEST NFCA DIVISION III TOP 25 POLL

STARKVILLE, MS --- The Moravian College softball team slipped two spots to 25th in the fourth regular season National Fastpitch Coaches Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll for 2011 released Wednesday. 

Linfield (OR) College received six first-place votes and holds down the top spot with 197 points while Emory (GA) University is second with 184 points and one first place vote.  Eastern Connecticut State University is third with 179 points while Luther (IA) College is fourth with 177 points and a first-place vote.  Louisiana College rounds out the top five with 161 points. 

The Greyhounds, who were seventh in the preseason poll and tied for ninth in the first regular season poll before falling to 11th two weeks ago and 23rd last week, have 26 points.

Moravian is currently 7-2 on the season including a 5-3 loss to Emory.  The Greyhounds are scheduled to play 23rd-ranked The College of New Jersey on Thursday, March 17th in Ewing.
