MORAVIAN’S JENNA CARMON NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Junior pitcher/designated player Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carmon, who earns the award for the second time this season, had another outstanding week for the nationally-ranked Greyhounds.  In the circle, she was 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA.  She gave up two unearned runs, snapping her scoreless inning streak at 17 innings and the team's at 30 innings.  Carmon also allowed 14 hits but just one walk while striking out 14 batters in 19 innings this week. 

In the field, she had nine putouts and three assists in 12 chances.  At the plate, Carmon hit .400 over six games with six hits in 15 at-bats to go with five runs, seven RBIs, a double, a home run and four walks for a .526 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage. Carmon also became the 25th player in school history to collect 100 career hits.

The 21st-ranked Greyhounds, who are 17-3 overall and 2-0 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 5th in a non-conference doubleheader at DeSales University beginning at 3:00 p.m.
