MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF & TRAVIS KING NAMED TO LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Senior Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been honored the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week while sophomore Travis King (Wilmington, DE/Concord HS) has been named the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

Woodruff, who won the track award for the second straight week, won the 200-meter dash at the non-scoring Greyhound Invitational in an NCAA automatic qualifying time, an ECAC qualifying time and a meet record time of 21.28 seconds. Woodruff, pictured at right, also broke the school and Landmark Conference records and hit the NCAA automatic and ECAC qualifying marks in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.48 seconds in the finals to place second by two-hundredths of a second. Woodruff had run an NCAA provisional qualifying time 10.63 seconds.

King, pictured at left, hit an NCAA provisional and ECAC qualifying distance of 14.04 meters (46 feet, 3/4 inch) in the triple jump at the non-scoring Greyhound Invitational on Sunday.  He also finished 15th in the long jump at 6.05 meters (19 feet, 10 1/4 inches).

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 20th at the Gwynedd-Mercy College Twilight Meet.
