MORAVIAN’S SHANNEN MOHR & ELIZABETH PYTHON NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE
SOFTBALL PLAYER & PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore third baseman Shannen Mohr (Slatington, PA/Parkland HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week while senior pitcher Elizabeth Python (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman HS) earned Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week honors for their performances last week.

Mohr hit .562 last week for the Greyhounds as the team posted a 5-1 mark.  Mohr hit safely in all six games with nine hits in 16 at-bats to go with seven runs scored, six RBIs, three doubles, a homer, four walks, a .650 on-base percentage and a .938 slugging percentage.  In the field, Mohr, pictured at right, started all six games at third base and had three putouts and 14 assists in 17 chances.

Python had a perfect week for Moravian as she posted a 3-0 record in the circle, allowing just six hits, two walks and no runs while striking out ten batters in 13.2 innings of action.  Python, pictured at left, also posted an 8-0, five-inning shutout of rival Muhlenberg College.  Python had one putout and one assist in the field, and she as one-for-three at the plate with a run, an RBI, two walks and a sacrifice in six plate appearances.

The 17th-ranked Greyhounds, who are 26-4 overall and 6-0 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 20th in a Landmark Conference doubleheader versus The University of Scranton at Blue & Grey Field beginning at 3:00 p.m.
