MORAVIAN’S DONALD NOBLE HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore Donald Noble (Souderton, PA/Souderton Area HS) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been honored the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Noble was named the Track Athlete of the Year at the 2011 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships while helping Moravian to its fourth straight Landmark Conference Outdoor title.  Noble won the 5,000-meter run with a Landmark Conference Meet record and ECAC qualifying time of 15:09.19, and he also captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:43.20 on the second day of the meet.  Noble was fourth in 4:06.22 in the 1,500-meter run in the first day of competition.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday and Friday, May 19th and 20th when the squad hosts the 2011 ECAC Division III Outdoor Championships at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.
