MORAVIAN’S BRITTANY MOSES NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Junior Brittany Moses (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge HS) of the Moravian College women’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her performances last week.

Moses was named the Field Athlete of the Year at the 2011 Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships while helping Moravian to its fourth straight Landmark Conference outdoor title.  Moses won a pair of events as Moravian captured 11 individual titles.  On the opening day, Moses captured the discus with an ECAC qualifying and Landmark Conference Meet Record throw of 39.33 meters (129 feet).  On the second day, Moses captured the shot put with a toss of 11.40 meters (37 feet, five inches), and she was also the runner-up in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.15 meters (141 feet, seven inches).

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday and Friday, May 19th and 20th when the squad hosts the 2011 ECAC Division III Outdoor Championships at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.
