MORAVIAN BASEBALL TEAM RECEIVES VOTES AGAIN IN D3BASEBALL/NCBWA DIVISION III TOP 25 POLL

MINNEAPOLIS, MN --- The Moravian College baseball team received votes for the third time this season in the tenth regular season D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll released Tuesday. 

Marietta (OH) College holds down the top spot in the poll with 617 points and 18 first-place votes while Christopher Newport (VA) University is second with 583 points and six first-place votes.  Linfield (OR) University is third with 555 points and the final first place vote.

The Greyhounds, who received one point in the preseason poll released on January 20th, four points in the first poll and eight points in the second regular season poll, earned two points this week.  Moravian is tied for 16th of 20 teams that received votes outside of the top 25. 

Moravian, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Paul Engelhardt, is currently 30-7 on the season and has won 14 straight games.  The Greyhounds will host the 2011 Landmark Conference Championship Tournament beginning on Saturday, May 7th as top seed Moravian plays fourth seeded Susquehanna University in the opening game of the double elimination tournament at 12:30 p.m.
