MORAVIAN’S MICAH LEONARD HONORED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore jumper/sprinter Micah Leonard (York, PA/William Penn HS) of the Moravian College women’s track & field team has been named the first Landmark Conference Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the 2011 season for her performance last week.

Leonard won the long jump with an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.37 meters (17 feet, 7 1/2 inches), and she captured the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 11.04 meters (36 feet, 2 3/4 inches) to lead Moravian at the Lehigh University Season Opener.  Leonard also won her heat of the 200-meter dash and was seventh overall in 28.21 seconds.

Moravian’s track & field teams will not return to action until Saturday, January 22, 2010 when they return for another meet at Lehigh.
