MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, N.J. --- Senior sprinter Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College men’s track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Woodruff, who also earned Landmark Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors back on December 6th, helped lead Moravian at the Mountain Hawk Multi & Invitational by winning two events. Woodruff captured the 60-meter dash in an NCAA Division III provisional, an ECAC qualifying and school record time of 6.89 seconds after a 7.06 race in the preliminary, and he won the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 22.33 seconds.  Woodruff also ran the anchor leg on Moravian's B relay in the 4x400-meter relay that placed second in a time of 3:38.71.

Moravian’s track & field teams will return to action until Saturday, January 29th when they travel to the Thomson Invitational hosted by The University of Delaware.
