SIX LADY GREYHOUNDS NAMED TO NFHCA
NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Juniors Tricia Salomonsen (Effort/Pleasant Valley HS), Nicole Drey (Bethlehem/Northampton HS), Stacey Laubenheimer (Marlton, NJ/Burnt Hills {NY} HS) and Colleen Walsh (Northampton/Northampton HS) and sophomores Jen Cosentino (Shohola/Delaware Valley HS) and Chelsea Roberts (Philadelphia/St. Basil HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad.

To be eligible for the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, hold a grade point average over a 3.30 and be a starter of significant reserve on the field hockey squad.

Salomonsen, Moravian’s goalie, started every match in goal for the Lady Greyhounds this season. She posted a 1.31 goals against average and five shutouts to lead Moravian to a 7-11 overall record. Salomonsen also averaged 9.4 saves per match.

Drey, a midfielder, competed in 11 matches and started the last two contests of the season. She netted one goal on seven shots.

Laubenheimer, an attack, led Moravian in assists this season with five. She also scored three goals and was one of eight players to start every match this season.

Walsh, a defender, helped Salomonsen and Moravian’s other goalie Samantha Fillian (Sea Girt, NJ/Wall HS) post a 1.27 goals against average for the season and shutout six opponents.

Cosentino, an attack, scored two goals in Moravian’s fist match of the season, a victory against Cabrini, and started the first six matches before being sidelined with a broken nose. She played in two other contests the rest of the season.

Roberts, an attack, was tied for second in goals with five and for fourth in points with 11 this fall. She played in 13 matches and started two before being sidelined at the end of the year with an injury.
