BETHLEHEM, PA --- Freshman linebacker John Cupples (Allentown/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and freshman wide receiver Jarod Rhinehart (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) of the Moravian College football team have been honored by USA Football for their performances last week.

Cupples was named the Tri-Rookie of the Week with Matt Simpson, a freshman quarterback at Plymouth State College, and Jim Smith, a freshman running back at Lake Forest College while Rhinehart was named to the Rookie Honor Roll.

Cupples made his first career start for the Greyhounds last week in a 21-19 loss to King’s College and was two tackles short of the school record. Cupples made 18 tackles in the game with 12 solo stops, which was one shy of the school record. Cupples added one tackle for loss and one pass break-up.
