GOLDAN NAMED TO MAC HONOR ROLL

ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior strong safety Jason Goldan (Neshanic, NJ/Hillsborough HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named to the MAC Honor Roll for his performance last weekend in Moravian’s 38-37 overtime victory over Juniata College in MAC Commonwealth Conference action last Saturday.

One week after making 17 tackles, the fourth highest single game total in Moravian history, Goldan had 18 tackles in the win against Juniata including a school record tying 13 solo stops. Goldan also had one tackle for a loss of two yards and one pass break-up in the contest.

The victory snapped a seven-game losing streak for Moravian and the game also set a NCAA all-division record as it was the fourth consecutive year that Moravian and Juniata had need an overtime to decide the winner. The two schools have actually been tied after 60 minutes of regulation time for five straight years but the NCAA did not institute overtime until 1996. Moravian is 3-1 in the overtime contests.

The Greyhounds, now 1-5 on the season, will try for its second straight win in a road game at FDU-Madison on Saturday, October 23rd beginning at 1:00 p.m.
