DIRENZO NAMED USA FOOTBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK;POGUE NAMED TO ROOKIE HONOR ROLL

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Senior free safety Steve DiRenzo (Netcong, NJ/Lenape Valley Regional HS) of the Moravian College football team has been named the USA Football Division III Defensive Player of the Week for his performance last week. Freshman cornerback Nate Pogue (Bethlehem/Liberty HS) earned a spot on the Rookie Honor Roll as well.

DiRenzo tied the Greyhound record for tackles in a game with 20 stops, including 11 solo tackles, in a 13-10 loss at FDU-Madison last Saturday. He also had one interception as Moravian also tied the school record for interceptions in a game with five.

Pogue, who made his first career start in the loss to FDU-Madison, had two of the Greyhounds five record-tying interceptions as well as 12 tackles.
