LADY GREYHOUND X-COUNTRY RANKED 22ND IN NATION

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Heading into this weekend’s NCAA Division III National Championships, the Moravian College women’s cross country team slipped to 22nd in the nation after being ranked 19th for three straight weeks.

The Lady Greyhounds placed second at last weekend’s NCAA Division III Mideast Regional at Frostburg State University (MD) to qualify for the National Championships for the seventh straight season.

Moravian is led on the course by a quartet of sophomores and a junior. Sophomores Emily Shertzer (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin HS) and Heidi Wolfsberger (Moosic/Riverside HS) have battled for the top spot on the squad all season while Kim Jaick (Coopersburg/Southern Lehigh HS) and Erin Boyle (Philadelphia/Nazareth Academy) have run in the fourth and fifth sports. Junior Hannah Wood (Palm/Upper Perkiomen HS) has been in the third spot all season and provides the leadership to the squad. Maria Grabowski (Churchville/Villa Joseph Maria HS) is the lone senior on the squad and has been in the sixth spot all year.
