FOUR GREYHOUND FOOTBALL PLAYERS NAMED MAC ALL-STARS
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior offensive lineman Eric McNeel (Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere HS) and
senior strong safety Jason Goldan (Neshanic, NJ/Hillsborough HS) of the Moravian
College football team have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth League
All-Star First Team while junior linebacker J.D. Rhinehart (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills
Regional HS) and senior fullback Kirk Harryn (Bethlehem/Freedom HS) earned second
team accolades.
McNeel, the only senior on Moravians offensive front line this season, helped the
Greyhounds average 294.4 yards of total offense during the year including 139.4 yards per
contest on the ground.
Goldan, a three-year starter, was one of two Greyhounds to finish the season with over
100 tackles, making 102 stops and a team leading 72 solo tackles. Goldan also had six tackles
for loss, one sack, one interception and two pass break-ups during the year.
Rhinehart, who was moved to linebacker during the 1998 season, finished the 1999 campaign
third on the Greyhound squad with 91 tackles including 62 solo stops. Rhinehart added 12
tackles for loss, three and a half sacks, three pass break-ups and was tied for the team
lead in interceptions with three.
Harryn, who also earned MAC Commonwealth League Second Team All-Star honors in 1998, had
his best season for the Greyhounds, gaining 513 yards on 104 attempts. Harryn had Moravians
only two 100-yard games in 1999 and they were also the only two of his career. Harryn ran
for 101 yards against Delaware Valley College and for 131 yards at Juniata College.
Moravian finished the 1999 season with an overall record of 2-8 and posted a 1-4 slate
in the MAC Commonwealth League.
