THREE LADY GREYOUND SOCCER PLAYERS EARN MAC HONORS
ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior forward Carli Miller (Wyomissing/Wilson West Lawn HS) and
sophomore defender Stevie Ochse (Bethlehem/Saucon Valley HS) of the Moravian College
womens soccer team have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth
All-Star First Team while senior midfielder Jen Polaha (Seattle, WA/Holy Name {PA} HS) earned
second team honors.
Miller, the all-time leading scorer at Moravian, male or female, completed the 1999 season
with a team high 35 points on 15 goals and five assists. In four seasons, Miller tallied
59 goals and 24 assists for 142 points. She was a member of the MAC Commonwealth Conference
All-Star First Team in 1998 and was on the second team in 1997. She is a three-time National
Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Mid-Atlantic Region honoree with the 1999 team
still to be announced.
Ochse, who was on the MAC Commonwealth All-Star Second Team last fall and was also the
MAC Commonwealth Conference Co-Rookie of the Year in 1998, scored two goals this season
to lift her career total to 16 points on six goals and four assists. On the defensive end
of the field, Ochse helped Moravian post a 1.35 goals against average and eight shutouts.
Polaha, who was on the MAC Commonwealth Conference All-Star First Team a year ago, earned
second team honors this season after scoring two assists from her defensive midfield position.
In her career, Polaha scored 11 goals and added 10 assists for 32 points.
Ochse and Polaha are currently playing basketball for Moravian.
The Lady Greyhounds posted an overall record of 12-5 this season and finished third in
the MAC Commonwealth Conference with a 5-2 mark.
