The Greyhounds dropped their final non-conference game before the semester break, falling to NCAA Division I Lafayette College, 73-56, in a game at Kirby Sports Center.  Moravian jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the game's first three minutes and led 11-6 with 14:14 remaining in the first half before the Leopards went on a 17-0 run, taking the lead for good.  Moravian pulled back within six points at 23-17 with 7:14 remaining before halftime but Lafayette would pull ahead 37-26 at the break.  The Greyhounds shot just 22 percent (seven of 32) in the first half, making two of 13 three-pointers and ten of 11 free throws.  Lafayette made 14 of 30 first half field goals (46.7 percent), going four of eight behind the three-point line and five of six at the foul line.  In the second half, the Leopards would pull ahead by 15 points at 58-43 with 6:05 left in the game.  However, Moravian freshman guard Ryan Miller (Easton, PA/Easton HS) connected on back-to-back three-pointers to cut the lead to nine at 58-49.  Lafayette responded with a 7-0 run to put the game out of reach. Moravian would make 19 of 62 field goals (30.6 percent) for the game, including five of 24 three-pointers.  The Greyhounds also made 13 of 18 free throws in the game but were out-rebounded 47 to 33.  Senior forward Brandon Zaleski (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown HS) led Moravian and all scorers with 21 points.  Zaleski also added a team high eight rebounds while junior forward Zach Zsilavecz (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty HS) added 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals for the Greyhounds.  Miller tied his career high with ten points, and he added four rebounds. Junior forward Ed Reid (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl HS) had five points while junior forward Steve Wenderfer (Chester, NJ/Mendham HS) added four points and four rebounds.  Junior guard Chris Betley (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape HS) saw his first action of season, playing 19 minutes off the bench with three rebounds and two points.
