Moravian won its third straight game as the 19th-ranked Greyhounds earned a 63-58 come-from-behind victory at Albright College in Commonwealth Conference action. The win was Moravian's sixth of the season when trailing at halftime. The Lions jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, and Albright ran out to an 11-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Greyhounds would cut the lead back to five points at 14-9 with 10:22 remaining in the first half. However, Albright went on an 11-2 run to build a 25-11 lead with 6:27 before the intermission. Moravian responded with a 14-0 run to tie the contest at 25-25 with a minute to go in the first half before the Lions scored the final four points of the half for a 29-25 halftime edge. The Greyhounds struggled shooting in the first half, making just eight of 30 field goal attempts (26.7 percent) with one three-pointer; however, Moravian was a perfect eight-for-eight at the foul line. When the second half started, Moravian pulled within one point three times in the first 3:15 before Albright built an eight point lead. The Lions would lead 44-39 with 7:19 remaining in the game when the Greyhounds started to take control of the contest at the foul line. Moravian would connect on 21 of 24 free throw attempts and one three-pointer, the team's final field goal of the game, in the final seven minutes to turn a five-point deficit into the five-point victory. In the second half, the Greyhounds made just six of 16 field goal attempts (37.5 percent), but Moravian was two-of-three behind the three-point line and 24 of 29 (84.8 percent) at the foul line to finish the game 32 of 37 (86.5 percent). Moravian had three players in double figures lead by senior forward Stephanie Seaman (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic HS), who had 19 points to go with 11 rebounds and five steals for her third double-double in the last five games. Seaman's 19 points improved her career total to 1,118, moving her into 11th all-time at Moravian. Junior forward Kelly Applegate (Easton, PA/Wilson HS) had 14 points and seven rebounds in the victory for the Greyhounds while junior forward Jenny Hackleman (Solvang, CA/Rutgers Prep {NJ} HS) added 12 points and seven boards. Senior forward Lindsay Brase (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame HS) came off the bench to score six points on a pair of three-pointers while junior guard Rachel Berlin (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom HS) and sophomore guard LaToya Blake (Allentown, PA/Dieruff HS) each tossed in five points. Sophomore guard Sara Steinman (Springfield, NJ/Jonathan Dayton HS) dished out three assists and added two points and two steals while junior guard Katie Rizman (Wall, NJ/St. Rose HS) saw action for the first time in two weeks due to an injury.

The Greyhounds tried to rally from a 17-point deficit with seven and a half minutes to play, coming up short in a 66-59 loss to rival Muhlenberg College in non-conference action in Johnston Hall. Moravian, ranked 19th in the nation, which also trailed by 17 points at halftime, was down 59-42 after a Mule lay-up. The Greyhounds went on a 17-3 run to pull within 62-59 with 43 seconds to play on a three-pointer by Seaman, but Moravian wouldn't score again. At the start of the game, the Mules jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead and led 12-2 with 15:15 remaining in the first half when Moravian was forced to put Applegate and Hackleman on the bench with two quick fouls each. The Mules, who received votes in both national polls this week, pulled ahead by 13 points with a 22-9 lead when Seaman went to the bench with two fouls of her own. Applegate and Hackleman returned to the game and fueled an 8-2 Moravian run to cut the lead back to 24-17 with seven minutes to go in the first half but Applegate picked up her third foul of the half. The Mules would pull away for a 43-26 edge at the intermission. In the first half, Moravian struggled from the floor, making just seven of 29 field goal attempts (24.1 percent) with two three-pointers. The Greyhounds were a perfect ten-for-ten at the foul line but committed 12 turnovers and were out-rebounded by Muhlenberg, 24-16. Moravian scored the first five points of the second half to pull within 43-31 before fouls by Seaman, Hackleman and Applegate and a technical foul on the Moravian bench helped the Mules pull out to their biggest lead of the night of 20 points, 55-35, with 11:13 remaining in the game. The Greyhounds shot better in the second half, making 11 of 30 field goal attempts (36.7 percent) with two more three-pointers, and Moravian was nine of 11 at the foul line (81.8 percent). Moravian did end up with three players in double figures with both Applegate and Seaman scoring 12 points despite playing less than 20 minutes in the game due to foul trouble. Seaman had five rebounds while Applegate grabbed four boards. Brase came off the bench to contribute ten points, three rebounds and a pair of blocked shots while Hackleman had eight points, a team high nine rebounds and two blocked shots before fouling out. Berlin and Rizman each tossed in five points with Berlin adding three rebounds and three steals. Freshman forward Rachelle Elneus (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS) contributed four points during Moravian's late surge, and she added three rebounds while Steinman had three points.

Nationally-ranked Moravian overcame an early eight point deficit and outlasted two power failures in the second half that delayed the game 60 minutes to defeat Susquehanna University, 66-54, in Commonwealth Conference action. With the victory and a loss by Albright College to Messiah College, the Greyhounds clinched their fifth consecutive trip to the postseason and Moravian's 18th overall playoff berth. The Crusaders jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead in the first five and a half minutes of the game; however, the Greyhounds ran off nine straight points to take an 11-10 lead at the 13:05 mark. Susquehanna took a 12-11 lead and the game was tied at 13-13 before Moravian took the lead for good at the 9:02 mark on a jumper by Steinman. The Greyhounds headed into halftime with a 28-20 lead. Moravian made nine of 26 first half field goals (34.6 percent) with one three-pointer. The Greyhounds made nine of 11 free throws (81.8 percent) in the first 20 minutes. When the second half started, Moravian scored the first six points to push its lead to 14 points at 34-20. The Greyhounds would still be ahead by 14 points at 42-28 when the power went out with 11:07 remaining in the game. The delay lasted about ten minutes before the lights were bright enough to resume play. However, before anyone could score and just one minute gone off the clock, the power went out again and delayed the game for 50 minutes. When action finally resumed, Susquehanna slowly pulled closer, getting within five points at 54-49 with 2:34 to play. Moravian would shut the door at the foul line, making ten of 13 free throws in the final 1:10 to expand the lead back to double digits. The Greyhounds were 19 of 24 from the foul line (79.2 percent) in the second half while shooting 33.3 percent (nine of 27) from the floor with one three-pointer. Moravian had three players in double figures led by Applegate, who had a game-high 24 points to go with seven rebounds. Seaman added 16 points, five rebounds and three assists while Hackleman contributed 12 points and a team high nine rebounds. Seaman's 16 points improved her career total to 1,146 points, moving her into tenth all-time. Steinman finished the game with nine points to go with three rebounds and three assists. Brase contributed four rebounds and three points while Blake had a team high four steals, three rebounds and two points. The Greyhounds scored the first points of the game and had an early five point lead at 9-4 before the Lions rallied to tie the contest at 11-11. Moravian slowly pushed the lead into double figures, reaching as many as 12 points at 37-25 with just under five minutes remaining in the first half. The Greyhounds headed into the intermission with a 44-33 lead after shooting 18 of 31 (58.1 percent) from the floor in the first 20 minutes including a five-for-12 performance (41.7 percent) behind the three-point line. Moravian was also three of five at the foul line in the first half. Albright struggled shooting the ball in the first half, making just 14 of 32 field goal attempts (43.8 percent) with a trio of three-pointers and two free throws. The second half would be a completely different story. The Lions began the half with a 19-2 run to take a 52-46 lead at the 14:26 mark. Moravian pulled back within two points at 52-50 on a three-pointer by sophomore guard Justin Chestnut (Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland HS) with 13:49 remaining in the game, but an 8-0 run by Albright gave the Lions a 10-point lead and control of the game. The closest the Greyhounds could get was eight points at 64-56 with 9:31 remaining in the game. Moravian struggled from the floor after halftime, making just ten of 30 field goal attempts (33.3 percent) with a pair of three-pointers and five of six free throws (85.6 percent).             Moravian dropped an 83-70 decision at Susquehanna University in Commonwealth Conference action. The game started an hour late due to a pair of power failures during the women's game. The game went back-and-forth for the first ten minutes with neither team leading by more than five points. The Crusaders led 3-0 and would be up 9-5 three and a half minutes into the contest before the Greyhounds rallied and took four-point leads of 13-9 and 15-11, the latter with 12 minutes remaining before halftime. Susquehanna pulled ahead to a 19-15 lead, but Moravian cut the lead back to 21-20 with 6:56 to play before the break. The Crusaders would slowly pull away during the remainder of the half to head into halftime with a 38-29 advantage. Susquehanna made 14 of 35 first half field goals (40 percent) including six three-pointers, and the Crusaders were four of seven (57.1 percent) at the foul line while committing just five turnovers and holding a 25-21 edge in rebounds. Moravian connected on 12 of 35 field goal attempts (34.3 percent) in the first 20 minutes with three three-pointers. The Greyhounds made both of their free throws in the first half and committed just seven turnovers. At the beginning of the second half, Susquehanna continued to build on its lead, eventually pushing the advantage to 18 points twice, the final time at 57-39 with 12:19 remaining in the contest. The Greyhounds would fight back over the next 4:15, going on a 19-2 run to pull Moravian within a point at 59-58 with 8:04 on the clock. Greyhound Zsilavecz had a chance to tie the game but was unable to convert the three-point play. The Crusaders' only point during the run came on a pair of technical foul free throws after Moravian sophomore guard Greg Jones (Bronx, NY/Mt. St. Michael Academy HS) was called for a technical foul for taunting after he made a three-pointer. Susquehanna answered with an 8-0 run to rebuild the lead to 67-59 with 5:06 remaining in the game.
