Men’s Lacrosse -- 2-6 (Landmark Conference 0-1)

Senior attack Christopher Danni (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) scored a career high five goals and a total of seven points to lead Moravian to a 13-11 non-conference victory at local rival DeSales University.

The Bulldogs scored first for a 1-0 lead before the Greyhounds ran off three straight goals.  DeSales answered with three goals to take a 4-3 lead after the first quarter.  Moravian then netted the only four goals of the second quarter to head into halftime with a 7-4 lead.  Each squad found the back of the cage twice in the third quarter to give the Greyhounds a 9-6 lead after 45 minutes of action. 

DeSales would score the first three goals of the final quarter to tie the match at 9-9 but Danni answered to put Moravian back in front.  The Bulldogs tied the score twice more, and both times Danni would give the Greyhounds the lead again.

DeSales had a small 36-34 edge in shots in the match, and the Bulldogs won 15 of 26 face-offs.  Moravian held a 34-29 advantage in ground balls.

Danni led all scorers with seven points on five goals and two assists while sophomore midfielder David Forte (Chester, NJ/West Morris Mendham) added three goals.  Sophomore midfielder Robert Devine (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes) contributed two goals and a team high three assists for the Greyhounds while senior attack Jason Tosches (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) had a goal and two assists.  Sophomore attack Christopher Mohapp (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks South) added a goal and an assist for Moravian while sophomore attack David Bennett (Easton, PA/Easton) had a goal.  Freshman defender Merrick Smith (Stonington, CT/The Williams School) had two assists for the Greyhounds.

Freshman midfielder Jesse Peterson (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) led Moravian with seven ground balls while senior defender Steven Carroll (West Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) added six ground balls.  Freshman midfielder Zachary Stein (Schnecksville, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) won eight of 15 face-offs for the Greyhounds to go with four ground balls while sophomore defender Michael Santos (Toms River, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) had five ground balls.  Senior goalie Benjamin Larson (Dover, DE/Dover) earned his first victory of the season for Moravian, and his first in nearly two years after missing all of last season with an injury, while posting 12 saves and grabbing six ground balls.

Moravian opened the 2009 Landmark Conference season with a 10-7 loss at Drew University. The Rangers scored the only two goals of the first quarter but the Greyhounds tied the match before halftime at 3-3. Drew out-scored Moravian, 4-1, in the third quarter to lead 7-4 after 45 minutes of action. The Rangers had a 33-27 advantage in shots, a 33-30 edge in ground balls and won 15 of 21 face-offs in the match.

Senior attack Christopher Danni led Moravian with four goals while sophomore midfielder Robert Devine scored two goals to go with five ground balls and five of 16 on face-offs. Senior attack Jason Tosches found the back of the net once for the Greyhounds to become the fourth player in school history to record 100 career points with his 80th goal to go with 20 assists. Sophomore attack David Bennett added three assists while sophomore attack Christopher Mohapp also had an assist for Moravian. Senior defender Steven Carroll and sophomore defender Michael Santos each had three ground balls.

Senior goalie Benjamin Larson had 11 saves and five ground balls for the Greyhounds while Drew goalie Michael Celentano had nine saves and one ground ball.

Women’s Lacrosse -- 3-3 (Landmark Conference 0-0)

Junior defender Katie Wise (Ardsley, PA/Abington) scored on an eight-meter shot with just one second remaining in overtime to lift Moravian to a 15-14 overtime win at NCAA Division II Chestnut Hill College for the Greyhounds first win of the season.

The Griffins scored the first goal of the match before Moravian ran of three straight goals.  The Greyhounds had a 6-5 lead at halftime, and Moravian netted the first three goals of the second half for a 9-5 lead.  Chestnut Hill answered with four goals to tie the match before the Greyhounds went up 12-10.  The Griffins tied the match at 13-13 on a goal by Katie Donovan while down a player with 1:41 to go in regulation.

In overtime, Sarah Possinger gave the Griffins a one-goal lead with 3:39 remaining.  Moravian tied the match with just 15 seconds to go on the sixth goal of the match by junior attack Jillian Pagliei (Ivyland, PA/Council Rock North).  On the ensuing draw, Wise grabbed the ball and raced towards the goal.  She was fouled with four seconds remaining to set up the eight-meter shot for the win.  The Greyhounds had a 45-40 advantage in shots, a 27-22 edge in ground balls and a 17-16 edge in draw controls.

Pagliei tied her career high with her six goals while junior midfielder Paige Warbrick (Souderton, PA/Souderton Area) had four goals and an assist for the Greyhounds.  Wise had one assist to go with her goal while senior attack Georgia Castellano (Cherry Hills, NJ/Cherry Hill West), sophomore midfielder Sarah Carman (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) and freshmen attacks Nicole Benson (Petersburg, NJ/Ocean City) and Allison Hess (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) found the back of the cage once for the Greyhounds.  Sophomore midfielder Maureen Helfers (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke) added an assist.

Carman had five ground balls, four draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers for Moravian while Wise had five ground balls, three caused turnovers and the last draw control.  Helfers added four draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls.  Moravian junior goalie Courtney Rosenberg (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional) made nine saves in the victory to go with a team high eight ground balls.

Sophomore midfielder Sarah Carman scored a career high six goals to lead the Moravian College women’s lacrosse team to a 16-8 non-conference victory over King’s College on the HUB Quad Saturday afternoon in the Greyhounds’ first home match of the season.

Junior defender Katie Wise gave Moravian a quick 1-0 lead just 36 seconds into the match.  The Monarchs tied the contest on the first of four goals by sophomore midfielder Alicia Cox.  The Greyhounds then scored eight of the next nine goals to take control of the match, and Moravian had an 11-4 lead at halftime.  The Greyhounds held a 44-28 advantage in shots and a 29-18 edge in ground balls while both teams had 13 draw controls.

Carman had a team high seven ground balls to go with her six goals while junior attack Jillian Pagliei contributed four goals and an assist.  Senior attack Georgia Castellano added two goals for Moravian while sophomore midfielder Maureen Helfers had a goal and an assist.

Wise had four draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls to go with her goal while freshmen attacks Allison Hess and and Nicole Benson each found the back of the cage once.  Sophomore attack Nicole Algeo had an assist for the Greyhounds while junior midfielder Brittany Deiling (Chews Landing, NJ/Triton Regional) added four ground balls.

Moravian junior goalie Courtney Rosenberg posted 12 saves and four ground balls in the victory while senior goalie Chrissy Keenan had 22 saves and a pair of ground balls for King’s.

The Greyhounds fell behind 14-0 including 10-0 after four innings in an 18-4 loss at rival Muhlenberg College at Credarcreek Field. The Mules took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a Moravian error, the first of six Greyhoun errors in the game, an two-RBI single by Eric Hammond and an RBI single from Eric Pomroy.

Muhlenberg added five runs in the bottom of the third inning for a 9-0 lead. The Mules scored on a two-RBI single from Jeff Puklin, an RBI single by Dan Fisher and a two-RBI single from Pomroy. Muhlenberg scored a single run on the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI double by Clint Lynch for a 10-0 lead.

The Mules pushed their lead to 14-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning on a two-RBI single by Christian Conti, an RBI single from Chris Costa and another RBI double by Lynch.

Moravian finally got on the scoreboard with four runs in the top of the eighth inning. Senior second baseman Kevin Gambrino (Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) reached on an error to start the inning, and he moved to third on a one-out double by sophomore outfieler Kirk Pastre (San Marino, CA/San Marino). Sophomore shortstop Jason Huber (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) then hit an RBI sacrifice fly in foul territory to score Gambrino. Senior outfielder Joseph Durso (Middletown, NJ/Christian Brother Academy) followed with an RBI single to score Pastre, who had moved to third on Huber's fly ball. Senior catcher Michael LaVerghetta (Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh) then hit an infield single before freshman first baseman/pitcher Kevin O'Keefe (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) had a two-RBI double to score Durso and LaVerghetta.

Muhlenberg answered with four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to finish off the scoring. Conti had a two-RBI double while Nick Busillo added a two-RBI single.

The Mules had a 25-10 advantage in hits with Pomroy leading the way with a five-for-six performance with three RBIs. Lynch was three-for-four with three doubles while Hammond was three-for-three and Conti added three hits and four RBIs. Junior outfielder Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor) led Moravian with a two-for-three performance while O'Keefe was two-for-four.

The Greyhounds used four pitchers in the game with junior Philip Spence (Lafayette, NJ/Newton) taking the loss, his first of the season. Spence allowed eight runs, just three earned, on nine hits and two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Junior Joe Melchionna (Marlboro, NJ/St. John Vianney) gave up two runs, one earned, on five hits with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings while O'Keefe allowed eight runs, only five were earned, on nine hits and two walks in 1 1/3 innings. Junior Andrew DelRossi (Medford, NJ/Bishop Eustace) finished off the game for Moravian, giving up two hits.

Moravian opened its first home Landmark Conference series of the 2009 season with a 9-8 victory over The United States Merchant Marine Academy in the first game of a doubleheader at Gillespie Field.

The Mariners struck for a run in the top of the first inning on an RBI ground out by junior Mike Bybee for a 1-0 lead.

Moravian answered in the bottom half of the first inning to tie the game.  Senior outfielder Eric Shea (Madison, NJ/Morristown Beard) drew a walk and stole second base before moving to third on a ground out by sophomore shortstop Jason Huber.  Senior outfielder Joseph Durso followed with an RBI sacrifice fly to score Shea.

Merchant Marine would score twice in the top of the third inning to take a 3-1 lead on a two-RBI single from Alex Wolfe that scored John Hubach and Frank Pierson.  The Mariners added two more runs in the top of the fourth inning for a 5-1 lead.  David Dorfman had an RBI single while George Novak scored on a Moravian error.

The Greyhounds answered with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie the game at 5-5.  Durso connected on a solo home run with one out, his second homer of the season, and freshman first baseman Kevin O’Keefe followed with a triple.  Freshman designated hitter Joe Bartolacci (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) then hit an RBI single to score O’Keefe before junior outfielder Brad Bodine had an RBI triple, and scored on a Mariner error on the play.

Moravian took its first lead of the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with three runs to build an 8-5 advantage.  Senior second baseman Kevin Gambrino doubled to lead off the inning and scored along with Shea, who had walked, on a two-RBI double from Huber..  Huber eventually scored on an RBI sacrifice fly by sophomore designated hitter Jacob Millen (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall)

The Greyhounds would add an important insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Gambino drew a two-out walk, stole second and moved to third on a throwing error.  Shea then reached on an error to score Gambrino for a 9-5 Moravian lead.

Merchant Marine would score three times in the top of the seventh inning and left the tying run at second base at the end of the game.  Junior pinch hitter Jeff Schwind scored on a Moravian error before a two-run homer by sophomore first baseman Doug Carter.  The Mariners had a 7-6 edge in hits in the game with Carter going two-for-four.

Freshman pitcher Brandon Close (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) improved to 3-1 on the season for the Greyhounds, allowing seven runs, just two earned, on five hits and a walk while striking out nine batters in six-plus innings of work.  Sophomore Luke Skutches (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) allowed a unearned run on two hits in two-thirds of an inning for Moravian while junior Brandon Palmisano (Mountainhome, PA/Pius X) earned his first save of the season after getting the final out of the game.

The Greyhound swept their first home Landmark Conference doubleheader of the season, defeating The United States Merchant Marine Academy, 8-6, in the second game of a twinbill at Gillespie Field for Moravian's fourth straight conference win.

The Mariners would again strike first, taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning.  John Hubach started the scoring on a Moravian error before an RBI triple from senior Davey May.  Doug Carter followed with an RBI single.

Moravian would take the lead with five runs in the bottom half of the third inning.  Sophomore shortstop Jason Huber and senior outfielder Joseph Durso drew walks with one out before freshman first baseman Kevin O’Keefe hit an RBI double to score Huber.  An error on a ball hit by freshman designated hitter Joe Bartolacci scored Durso while O’Keefe crossed the plate on a Merchant Marine error.  Freshman third baseman Gregg Steinman (Miami, FL/Palmer Trinity School) hit an RBI single to score Bartolacci while senior second baseman Kevin Gambrino had an RBI single to score freshman catcher Austin Rock(Arlington, VA/Flour Bluff), who had reached on the error that allowed O’Keefe to score.

The Greyhounds extended their lead to 6-3 with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Huber walked and stole second base.  Durso followed with a walk before double steal put both runners in scoring position.  Bartolacci then hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Huber.

The Mariners chased three runs home in the top of the fifth inning to tie the game at 6-6.  David Dorfman drew a bases loaded, RBI walk while Frank Pierson had a two-RBI single.

Moravian retook the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Huber led off with a double and moved to third on a single by DursoO’Keefe would draw a walk to load the bases before Bartolacci connected on another RBI sacrifice fly to score HuberDurso, who moved to third on Bartolacci’s fly ball, scored on an RBI fielder’s choice off of junior outfielder Brad Bodine’s bat.

The Mariners again had an edge in hits, this time 9-6 with Hubach going two-for-two.  Steinman was two-for-two for the Greyhounds.

Junior Philip Spence earned the win in relief for the Greyhounds, allowing two hits and striking out two batters in 2 2/3 innings to improve to 3-1 on the year.  Junior Ryan Cummings (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East) started for Moravian, allowing six runs on seven hits and four walks with six strikeouts.

The United States Merchant Marine Academy jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and held on for a 17-13 Landmark Conference win over host Moravian at Gillespie Field in the final game of a three-game Landmark Conference series as the Greyhounds had their four-game conference winning streak. Moravian senior Joseph Durso set the school record for RBIs in a career with five during the game.

The Mariners took that 3-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single from outfielder David May and a two-RBI double from first baseman Doug Carter down the left field line.

Moravian responded with two runs in the bottom of the third inning to cut the Merchant Marine lead to 3-2.  Freshman catcher Blake Shortall was hit by a pitch, and after a pair of fly outs, Shortall moved to second on a balk.  Sophomore shortstop Jason Huber then reached on an infield single, beating a throw from the shortstop to set up a two-RBI triple by Durso to score Shortall and Huber.

Merchant Marine would get the two runs back in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single from second baseman Travis Christensen, and Christensen scoring on a Moravian error.  The Mariners tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth inning for a 7-2 lead.  Designated hitter Mike Bybee led off the inning with a single before May hit a two-run homer down the right field line, his first home run of the season.

The Greyhounds answered with three runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning to pull within 7-5.  Shortall led off with a single and scored on an RBI double from senior second baseman Kevin Gambrino o deep right centerfield.  After an out, Huber reached on another infield single to put Gambrino on third.  Durso then hit an RBI ground out to score Gambrino and put Huber in scoring position for an RBI single from freshman designated hitter Kevin O’Keefe.

The Mariners scored five times in the top of the sixth inning to extend their lead to 12-5.  Christensen had an RBI double in the inning while Bybee had an RBI single, May had an RBI bases loaded walk, outfielder Eric Wolfe scoring on a wild pitch and an RBI bases loaded walk by pinch hitter Jared Fassnacht.

Merchant Marine scored once in the top of the seventh inning for a 13-5 lead on an RBI single from Bybee.

Moravian started to close the gap in the bottom of the seventh inning with three runs to cut the Mariners lead to 13-8.  Gambrino and sophomore outfielder Kirk Pastre walked to lead off the inning with Gambrino scoring on an RBI single from Huber.  Eventually, O’Keefe was intentionally walked to load the bases.  Junior outfielder Andrew DeLio (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) was hit by a pitch for an RBI scoring Pastre while sophomore first baseman Jake Schweitzer (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) added an RBI bases loaded walk to score Huber.  However, the Greyhounds would leave the bases loaded in the inning.

Merchant Marine pushed four runs across the plate in the top of the eighth inning to build a 17-8 lead.    Catcher Matt Rigby would score on a Moravian error while shortstop Frank Pierson had a two-RBI single.  Bybee added an RBI single for the Mariners final run of the game.

The Greyhounds pushed five runs home in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut the Merchant Marine lead to 17-13.  Gambrino led off with a double and Pastre followed with a single.  After Huber walked, Durso connected on a two-RBI double down the left field line to score Gambrino and Pastre.  The RBIs, Durso’s fourth and fifth of the of the game to make him the first player in Moravian history to reach 100 career RBIs, breaking Bob Frey’s record of 99 set from 2000-2003.  The double was also Durso’s 40th career double, a record he already broke earlier this season.  O’Keefe followed Durso’s record-breaking hit with another two-RBI double to score Huber and DursoO’Keefe eventually scored the final run of the game on an RBI ground out from Schweitzer.

Merchant Marine had a 16-13 edge in hits in the game with Bybee going five-for-six.  May was three-for-five for the Mariners while Pierson, Rigby and Christensen each had two hits.  Huber led Moravian at the plate, going four-for-five while Durso, O’Keefe and Gambrino each had two hits.

The Greyhounds used six pitchers in the game with freshman Thomas Fenyak (Centreville, VA/Westfield) dropping to 4-2 on the year after allowing seven runs, six earned, on eight hits and seven strikeouts.  Junior Joe Melchionna was touched for five runs, three earned, one two hits and a walk while facing six batters in the sixth inning.  Junior Zack Andes (Moscow, PA/North Pocono) tossed two innings in relief, giving up a run on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts.  Junior Andrew DelRossi (Medford, NJ/Bishop Eustace) allowed three runs, two earned on a hit while facing three batters to lead off the seventh inning while junior Brandon Palmisano gave up an unearned run on two hits in an inning of action.  Senior Thomas Murray (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

The Greyhounds dropped the first game of a non-conference doubleheader to Lebanon Valley College, 3-1 in eight innings, at Blue & Grey Field.

The Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning of the first game.  Sophomore shortstop Stephanie Falzarano (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a wild pitch.  Freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko (Nazarteth, PA/Nazareth) put down a sacrifice bunt to move Falzarano to third base before senior pitcher Maria DeBonis (Nazarteth, PA/Notre Dame) hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score Falzarano.

The Flying Dutchmen tied the game in the top of the seventh inning.  Junior Caitlin Keller reached on a Moravian error with one out, and eventually scored on an RBI double by Kerri Datres.

With Moravian unable to score in the bottom of the seventh inning, the teams went to the international tiebreaker of placing a runner on second base to start an inning in the eighth.  Lebanon Valley would score twice in the inning with senior outfielder Katie DeJulio hitting an RBI single and Kristen Uhas adding an RBI single.

The Greyhounds were unable to move their runner in the bottom half of the inning.  Lebanon Valley had a 5-4 edge in hits in the game with Uhas going two-for-four.

DeBonis dropped to 5-5 in the circle for Moravian, allowing three runs, only one earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out three batters.  Sophomore Val Malizzia earned the victory for the Flying Dutchmen, allowing a run on four hits and a walk with one strikeout.

Moravian captured a 4-1 victory in the second game of a non-conference home doubleheader versus Lebanon Valley College at Blue & Grey Field to earn a split of the twinbill.

The Greyhounds scored all four of their runs in the second game in the bottom of the third inning.  Sophomore shortstop Stephanie Falzarano drew a walk with one out and moved to second on a single by freshman outfielder Olivia Evanko.  Senior designated player Maria DeBonis followed with a single to load the bases before senior first baseman Sheri Bieniek (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) drew an RBI walk to score Falzarano.  Sophomore outfielder Amanda Paulus (Easton, PA/Easton) then hit a two-RBI double into the right field corner scoring Evanko and DeBonis.  Senior catcher Deanna Mangieri (Pleasantville, NY/Byram Hills) finished the inning with an RBI sacrifice fly to score Bieniek.

Lebanon Valley scored its only run on the contest in the top of the seventh inning on its only hit of the game.  Junior Kristen Uhas hit a two-out, solo home run to right field to break-up a perfect game by Moravian freshman pitcher Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central).  It is the second time this season a Lebanon Valley player broke up a Moravian no-hitter with a homer in the final inning as senior Katie DeJulio broke up a no-hit attempt by DeBonis when the two teams met in Florida, an 11-1 win by the Greyhounds.

Moravian did finish with nine hits in the game as Carmon and senior outfielder Erica Klepeisz (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) each went two-for-three. Carmon allowed just the one run and hit to improve to 3-1 on the season.  She did not allow a walk, and Carmon did not record a strikeout either.

Women’s Tennis -- 5-4 (Landmark Conference 1-0)

This Week – Sat., March 28th at Susqehanna University*, 1:00 p.m. *Landmark Conference Match.

 

            Moravian won its first match of the spring, and the defending champions began the 2009 Landmark Conference season with a 7-2 victory over The Catholic University of America at Hoffman Courts. The Greyhounds led 2-1 after doubles action after an 8-3 win by freshmen Melissa Emery (Phillipsburg, NJ/Notre Dame (PA)) and Alexandra Hay (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg South) at second doubles and an 8-0 win from senior MaryKate Kelly (Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Regional) and sophomore Kerry McKinley (Sparta, NJ/Pope John XXIII) at third doubles. Moravian then captured five of the six singles matches with Hay, McKinley, freshmen Jami Fein (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) and Brianna Kavanaugh (Pittsgrove, PA/Arthur P. Schalick) and senior Dyana Swan (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) all earning straight sets wins.

 

 

 

 

Men’s Tennis -- 6-3 (Landmark Conference 1-0)

This Week – Wed., March 25th vs. Neumann College, 3:30 p.m.; Sat., March 28th at Susquehanna University*, 1:00 p.m. *Landmark Conference Match.

 

            Moravian dropped a 6-3 non-conference decision to Stevens Institute of Technology.
            The Ducks led 2-1 after doubles action with Moravian’s lone win coming at third doubles in an 8-2 win by junior Chandler Forman (Plymouth, MA/Plymouth) and sophomore Thomas Turcich (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township).
            In singles action, Forman posted a three-set win at fifth singles while freshman Nick Yelito (Tamaqua, PA/Tamaqua) won in straight sets at sixth singles for the Greyhounds.  Freshman Drew Shreter (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) dropped a three-set match at fourth singles, Shreter’s first singles loss of the year after starting 13-0, and junior Ian Box (Charlestown, MA/The Rivers School) fell in three sets at second singles.

            Moravian earned a 9-0 sweep of The Catholic University of America to begin the 2009 Landmark Conference season at Hoffman Courts.
            The Greyhounds won all three doubles contests with wins by the teams of junior Ian Box and sophomore Doug Morrow, freshmen Kevin Holze (Bayside, NY/St. Francis Prep) and Drew Shreter, and junior Chandler Forman and sophomore Thomas Turcich.
            Moravian then won all six singles matches in straight sets with victories by Morrow, Box, Holze, Shreter, Forman and freshman Nick YelitoShreter’s singles win moved him into a tie for the third most singles victories in a season with 14 while Shreter and Holze moved into a tie for second in school history with their 12th doubles win of the year.
