Meet Our Staff Spotlight: Camille McPherson

November 19, 2017

This week’s spotlight is on Camille McPherson. On the court, she is a standout forward for the women’s basketball team. Off the court, she is the Center for Career and Civic Engagement’s Civic Engagement Coordinator. Camille is a 2016 graduate of political science and is now getting her MBA in Business Administration here at Moravian College. While taking classes, she also wanted the chance to give back and help students in the way that she was helped during her time as an undergraduate.

“We help students with volunteer opportunities, getting involved in the community goes with the career building aspect, because it helps you see the things you like to do and the passions you have. Being a transfer student, I had a lot of people help me when I was a student at Moravian College, so it’s really cool to help the students now.”

Her role consists of working directly with Gillian Sharkey by connecting students to volunteer opportunities as a way to gain hands on experience in the community. Camille is working hard on the Center’s upcoming Community Feast. This event provides support to the residents of Bethlehem during the holiday season. Camille recommends that every student should get involved in the community as it gives an incredible sense of belonging that one should experience for themselves.
