Moravian College announces the election of Brian Oswald ‘82 to Chairman of the Joint and College Boards

BETHLEHEM, PA, October 20, 2020: Today, Moravian College announced that effective April 15, 2021 Brian Oswald ‘82 will replace Ken Rampolla ‘79 as the Chairman of the Joint and College Boards. Oswald has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2017 and until 2018 served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Secretary and Treasurer for Prospect Capital Corporation based in New York, NY.  Additional changes include the election of Andrew Hart ‘90 to Vice Chair of the College Board while Reverend Dave Bennett will continue to serve as Chair of the Seminary Board and Vice Chair of the Joint Board.


“We thank Ken for his tireless dedication to Moravian College and note that the tremendous progress we have seen at Moravian over the last decade happened under his leadership of the Board,” said Bryon Grigsby, president of Moravian College. “Ken has left the College in a better place than when he joined the Board of Trustees in 2008 and I, along with everyone at Moravian, will be eternally grateful. The transition to Brian Oswald as Chair will be a smooth one, and Ken’s guidance as part of that process will be invaluable. ”


Rampolla served Moravian College on the Board of Trustees since 2008, serving as the Chair since 2012. During Rampolla’s tenure as Chair of the Joint and College Boards Moravian saw several major initiatives completed; including the construction of the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in 2016 and the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences in 2017, as well as renovations of Comenius Hall, the Collier Hall of Science, the Haupert Union Building’s Star dining facility, the Haupert Union Building’s Student Life suite, the Clewell dining facility, and John Makuvek Field.
