AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll
Moravian College is a 2014, 2013 and 2009 Honor Roll member.
The Corporation for National and Community Service oversees the Honor Roll in collaboration with the Department of Education, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Campus Compact and the American Council on Education. Honorees are chosen based on a series of selection factors including scope and innovation of service projects, percentage of student participation in service activities, incentives for service, and the extent to which the school offers academic service-learning courses.
President’s Volunteer Service Award
This award is a Presidential honor that recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering President Barack Obama’s call to serve others through their current volunteer activities or lifetime service. As a Certifying Organization, Moravian College identifies eligible recipients, verifies their service hours, and distributes the Award to outstanding volunteers. If you would like to learn more about this award, please contact the Center for Career and Civic Engagement at email@example.com.
Campus Compact Newman’s Fellow Award
The Newman Civic Fellows Award honors inspiring college student leaders who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country. Through service, research, and advocacy, Newman Civic Fellows are making the most of their college experiences to better understand themselves, the root causes of social issues, and effective mechanisms for creating lasting change. These students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders. They serve as national examples of the role that higher education can—and does—play in building a better world.
