Faculty & Staff: Become a Partner

Become a Partner

Share Your Contacts

If you know of any professionals in your industry that are interested in working with our students for service opportunities, internships, full-time jobs or other areas, please refer them to the Center for Career and Civic Engagement.  By working with our office we can connect them to other areas of the institution they might also benefit from working with.

Build Relationships

Are you interested in partnering with an employer or community organization?  Be sure to check with the Center first!  We have extensive partnerships with local and national organizations and can assist faculty with contact connections, or provide insight into the University’s working relationship with current partners.

Thinking about bringing a partner to campus (in-person or virtually)?  Let us know! The Center can help with event promotion and outreach to professionals, alumni and students.

Participate in Our Meetings with Partners

Often when working with employers it is very valuable for them to meet not only with our staff, but with faculty members in selected areas.  It is important for employers to understand the curriculum and ways they can best work with our students.  We would welcome the opportunity for faculty members to participate in meetings we have with employers and other community partners.

Internship & Co-op Support

The Center supports faculty through student and supervisor internship/co-op evaluation collection.  We also review position descriptions to ensure they meet the University’s definition of an internship/co-op while abiding by federal guidelines.

Have questions or concerns about a specific internship site?  Reach out to us for more information or assistance in resolving potential issues.

Service-Learning

The Center can also support faculty through determining the best, most appropriate service-learning partnerships. We can facilitate introductions with non-profits and support faculty from start-up through logistics and evaluation/feedback collection.
