Census 2020

You and your families have received a lot of information lately regarding the Census 2020. As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the Census is conducted every ten years to get a complete and accurate count of every person living in the United States. The results of the Census will determine how billions of dollars in federal funding get distributed to states, counties, and cities as well as the number of congressional representatives and electoral votes allocated to each state. We need your help to make sure we’re getting the most accurate count of our students. You count! Help us make sure that we’re all counted! For more information check out https://2020census.gov/

  • If you live off campus - please make sure you are completing the Census 2020 for your campus address as if you were still living there! If you live in private off-campus housing, regardless of whether you own or rent, you will submit a Census form for your off-campus household. If multiple people live in a private off-campus house together, the group will need to choose one person to be “head of household” for the purpose of submitting the form. All individuals living in the house will need to be included on the same form
  • If you live in the residence halls - don’t worry! We’ve got you covered!
  • If you are a commuter - you will be counted within your permanent address
  • Important to remember - Make sure you are sharing Census information with your parents/guardians - they should not be counting you on the form that comes to their house
