Kathyann Finch Winans Tunison writes:  I’ve just completed a two and half year course studying Botanical Art.  Not much botany was included, mostly visual and drawing of plants.  Some plant identification was included.  As a result, my new body of art work will have letters after my signature.  Kathyann Finch, DipSBA!
I did attend graduation in London, UK on April 17, 2015 with my son, Spencer Robert Winans, who himself is a graduate of Northeastern University.  We stayed in London for a few days.
All went well.   All of the work was done at my home studio with my husband Phil present.  The course was mailed to me and I sent in my assignments within the structured time frame for each assignment.  I did score a 92 for a possible 115 points for my assignments (12 in all).  My diploma portfolio consisting of three pieces of work and my assignments and sketchbook work won me a diploma with credit from the Society of Botanical Art, London, UK.  Very exciting for me.

Angela Colasanti is collaborating with Marshall Warfield, a professor of English at Drexel University, on a linguistic and aesthetic exhibit where visitors write short messages about the arts in their lives, and those messages help to complete the art hanging on the walls. The exhibit arose from a recent, debate-filled school board meeting in her hometown where potential significant cuts to the arts were announced. Angela hopes that the exhibit will provide for people a forum where personal, social, and national views about art can be discussed in a way that actually creates art objects. The exhibit opens August 26th at Studio B in Boyertown, PA and runs through September 11th.

From Jennie:
Elva A. Evans Shildt was married in November 2008 to Attorney Keith David Shildt. Elva and Keith are both graduates of Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, PA. Their ceremony was a combined Presbyterian and Jewish ceremony held at the Forty Fort Presbyterian Church, Forty Fort, PA followed by a reception at the Lackawanna Station Radisson in Scranton, PA. Attending their wedding was her brother Blythe H. Evans, III ’96. Blythe played a beautiful acoustic guitar solo during their ceremony. Also in attendance were Meg Thomsen Katsumi ’98, Lara Matthew Weber ’98 and her husband Dr. Derek Weber ’97, and Julie Mcginn-Rodriguez who attended Moravian for her freshman year in 1994/1995. Elva and Blythe's parents were terribly missed on Elva's wedding day. Their parents, Atty. Blythe and Marlette Evans, had both sadly passed away in late 2007 after long battles with cancer. Their parents had shared a hospital room and died two weeks apart. It was an unbelievable thing that happened in their lives. They miss their parents greatly, but are blessed by the wonderful legacy their parents left of two people who were dedicated to helping those in their community and church. Elva and Blythe know their parents are with them in spirit and will see them again one day. Elva and Blythe both wish their classmates all the best this summer.
