Endorsements
Endorsements are available in online teaching and learning, autism, and social emotional behavioral wellness.
Moravian University offers the following endorsements:
Autism K-12 Endorsement
Candidates for the Endorsement must complete the following course sequence (12 credits) with a cumulative Quality Point Average of at least 3.00 with no more than three letter grades less than B–.
- EDUC 643: Characteristics and Etiology of Autism Spectrum Disorders (Fall I)
- EDUC 646: Collaboration with Families, Agencies, and the Community (Fall II)
- EDUC 644: Assessment for Instructional Planning (Spring I)
- EDUC 645: Instructional Interventions and Methods Across Settings (Spring II)

Online Instruction Endorsement
The mission of the Endorsement in Online Instruction program is to prepare certified educators in all content areas to develop and deliver instruction in online and blended learning environments. Online instruction represents a paradigm shift in delivering and acquiring knowledge while considering the unique needs of learners being taught. That consideration honors the diverse nature of students in the classroom and grows from an understanding of the online and face-to-face communities being served. Candidates interested in adding Pennsylvania endorsement for online instruction through Moravian University's graduate education program must possess a valid teaching certificate and complete the following courses:
- EDUC 600 Best Practices in Online Teaching (Fall I)
- EDUC 601 Online Teacher as Instructional Designer (Fall II)
- EDUC 602 Online Teaching for the Online Learner (Spring I)
- EDUC 603 The Online Endorsement Capstone Practicum (Spring II)

Social Emotional Behavioral Wellness Endorsement
Candidates for the Endorsement must complete the following course sequence (15 credits) with a cumulative Quality Point Average of at least 3.00 with no more than three letter grades less than B–.
- EDUC 647 Social Emotional Wellness Learning and Youth Development (Fall I)
- EDUC 646 Collaboration with Families, Agencies, and the Community (Fall II)
- EDUC 648 Characteristics and Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences, Trauma, and Mental Illness on PreK-12 Students (Spring I)
- EDUC 649 Behavioral and Mental Health Literacy (Spring II)
- EDUC 650 Prevention and Intervention to Support Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness across Prek-12 Educational Environments (Summer I)
