The Economics & Business Department at Moravian College invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Accounting beginning in Fall 2018. Applicants with teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered, with a preference for Financial Accounting, Auditing, Tax, and Finance. Prior teaching experience in accounting is strongly preferred.

Moravian College undergraduate and graduate business programs are nationally accredited by the ACBSP. Applicants should be willing to teach at the undergraduate (introductory through advanced levels) and graduate level. The standard teaching load is three courses (or equivalent) per semester.

Qualified candidates must have a genuine desire to fully participate in a liberal arts environment and demonstrate:

  • a strong commitment to teaching excellence
  • active engagement in research leading to publication
  • a desire to participate in service including academic and co-curricular advising
  • willingness to collaborate with students, colleagues, alumni, and the community
  • commitment to academic assessment
  • ability to work effectively as part of a collegial and collaborative team

QUALIFICATIONS: The Economics & Business Department seeks candidates with an earned Ph.D. (or equivalent degree). Advanced ABDs and candidates with a Master’s degree plus significant professional experience and professional certifications will be considered.
