Assistant Professor of Practice in Accounting

The Economics & Business Department at Moravian College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Accounting beginning in Fall 2018. Applicants with teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered.

Moravian College undergraduate and graduate business programs are nationally accredited by the ACBSP. Applicants should be willing to teach at the undergraduate (introductory through advanced levels) and graduate level. The standard teaching load is three courses (or equivalent) per semester. Professors of practice are full-time, non-tenure eligible faculty. This appointment is for a three-year term, renewable.

An earned Ph.D. (or equivalent degree), advanced ABDs, and candidates with a Master’s degree plus significant professional experience and professional certifications will be considered. Prior teaching experience in accounting is preferred.

  • ability to model the intersection of theory and practice in accounting and to publish in practitioner journals

  • contribute to a supportive and collegial work environment and act with integrity
