JOB POSTING: Custodian
Responsible for performing duties necessary for the care, protection and preservation of assigned buildings and surrounding grounds; Provide students, faculty and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to live, learn, work and develop; Must possess prior knowledge and experience of cleaning methods, materials and equipment. Shift: Mon-Fri; 6AM – 2PM.
This position is full-time, 12 months, and eligible for full benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED, valid Pennsylvania driver’s license are required. Provide demonstrated knowledge and experience of cleaning methods, materials and equipment. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength is required. Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, bend, pull, push, work from ladders and climb stairs and must not have allergic reactions to chemical substances or the more common environmental factors. The ability to lift cleaning supplies and equipment with weights ranging from 20 to 30 pounds is essential. The ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently and the ability to establish and maintain working relations and effective communications with faculty, administration, staff and co-workers are required. Must have average written and oral communication skills.
