JOB POSTING: Title IX Investigator
The Title IX Investigator investigates complaints of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct (sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, intimate partner violence, and stalking). The investigator supports a safe and respectful learning, working and living environment by the prompt, effective, and equitable investigation and timely resolution of all complaints of sexual misconduct.
This position is paid per diem and ineligible for benefits.
CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree and police investigatory experience with specific experience in investigating sexual misconduct. Experience working in higher education preferred. Ability to understand the needs of the College and to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff, in a wide array of situations. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with diplomacy and excellent judgment and to act calmly and objectively. Superior interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, organizational, interviewing and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate and build rapport with diverse audiences. Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office and Google applications is essential.
