JOB POSTING: Information Literacy and Health Sciences Librarian
Responsible for carrying out the mission and programs of the Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary Library, especially in the areas of health science academic programs. Prepare and teach information literacy/research instruction classes. Provide research assistance to students, faculty and staff. Provide supervision of student staff during designated work hours.
This position is full-time, 12 months, and eligible for full benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited master’s degree required. Library instruction experience is required, with a minimum of two years in the health sciences. Must have demonstrated knowledge of evidence based medicine and health sciences best practices. Must have demonstrated experience in collaborative planning and problem solving abilities. Ability to work in a team approach to the provision of research and instruction services is essential. Ability to work in a flexible, collegial setting in which interpersonal skills, a strong desire to serve students and faculty, and clarity in written and oral communication are required. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the academic health sciences environment; AHIP certification; collection development in the health sciences; degree in a health sciences or related field. Previous experience with the Medical Library Association, chapter affiliation or publication in a peer-reviewed health sciences journal is preferred.
