Joan Dickinson Promoted to Executive VP

Dauphin County-based Mid Penn Bank announced that Joan Dickinson has been promoted to executive vice president and chief of staff.

Dickinson will focus on leading the bank's retail division. She also will have direct oversight of the Scottdale Bank, Miners Bank and Upper Dauphin County regions, as well as the bank's cash management team.

Dickinson, who previously served as Lancaster regional president, has been with Mid Penn Bank since 2013 focusing primarily on commercial lending and business development.

Dickinson holds a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Moravian College. She has more than 30 years of financial services experience.

Elizabeth Flaherty Named Associate Professor of Art History

Elizabeth Flaherty ’97 was named associate teaching professor of art history at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Flaherty also serves as coordinator of the art administration program and the honors program at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Flaherty earned a doctorate in interdisciplinary urban education from Temple University, and a master’s in art therapy from Marywood University and a bachelor’s in studio art and psychology from Moravian College.
