In his August 20, 2018, column, “Take a Break: Be More Productive,” for the Reading Eagle, Santo Marabella, talks about how taking breaks from work—whether that’s a stretch break at the office or a week-long vacation—benefits your brain and your overall health and can make you more productive.

 

Mark Harris, adjunct professor of English and expert on the environmental issues surrounding burial, is featured in this Vox video, “We Need to Change How We Bury the Dead.”

 

Dana S. Dunn, professor of psychology, co-authored the advice piece “That New Hire Needs Your Help” for the August 12 issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education. The article offers advice to senior faculty about the challenges first-year faculty members face as they must adjust to an institution’s academic culture and expectations for scholarship and service.

 

John D Rossi III, associate professor of accounting, published "New Standard Changes Rules of Accounting for most Leases " in the August 13, 2013, issue of the Lehigh Valley Business Journal. The article addresses the new leasing standard and its impact on financial reporting.

 

Emeritus Professor of Political Science Gary Olson’s article “High Plains Radicals” recalls the rise and fall of two socialist labor movements in the early 1900s in North Dakota and Minnesota. Olson’s piece appeared in the August 5, 2018, edition of Dissident Voice. In the August 13 issue, Olson’s opinion piece asks “Are We Governed by Secondary Psychopaths?”
