Grigsby Heading to Charlotte, NC!
Paul Kurzeja ’89 will host a Presidential Alumni Reception in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, at the Sozo Gallery on the plaza of the Hearst Tower in Center City. Come enjoy the company and camaraderie of President Grigsby and other fellow Hounds.
Color Your Thumb Green
On Saturday June 24th, Moravian College will host a conference on sustainable home landscapes. Experts from the Lehigh Gap Nature Center as well as regional master gardeners will present on a variety of topics including garden design using native plants, landscaping practices to improve your backyard, and sustainable landscaping and integrated pest management practices for home gardens and lawns. Feast Your Eyes
“Watching the Moon Move,” an exhibit of paintings by Angela Fraleigh, associate professor and chair of the art department is on display in the Lobby Gallery at 527 Madison Ave., New York, through September 5, 2017. The show is open to the public 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Music for Your Ears
The DeMarina Trio will perform two works—“Blue Fluidity” and “Phases”—composed by Michael McAndrew ’15 at this year’s Clarinetfest, the conference of the International Clarinet Association, which takes place in Orlando from July 26 to 30. The trio comprises Moravian College faculty: Deborah Andrus on clarinet, Inna Eyzerovich on violin, and Martha Schrempel, piano. They will also be performing at Musikfest this summer where they plan to play at least one of McAndrew’s pieces.
