William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition:  


This year the Mathematics program participated in the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition.  The annual competition, now in its 79th year, is preeminent undergraduate mathematics undergraduate competition.  The 6 hour competition consists of 12 extremely challenging questions.

On Thursday, May 1, 2014 three senior mathematics majors, Dylan Ricciardi, Brian Skrapits, and Lauren Sumereau, presented their final report, Predicting Enrollment at Moravian College, to members of the Moravian College Administration.

On Thursday, April 17, 2014 Dr. Nate Shank gave an invited talk at Northampton Community College to over 30 mathematics and computer science students.

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department had 4 student groups present their research during the 9th annual Moravian College Student Scholarship and Creative Endeavors Day on April 14, 2014.
