I can’t imagine my life without video games. Ever since I was young I would play with my brothers and friends, using them as a way to socialize and as a way to escape to a whole new world. As I grew older, I became more experienced with games and began to move away from the casual side of gaming, and more towards a competitive side.

The Hounds landed safely in Barcelona, Spain after a 7-hour flight from Newark, NJ around 12:15pm. After the Hounds left the airport they boarded two charter buses that took them to the Arenas Mall which use to be a bull fighting ring. Inside the team, staff and parents were able to find different options in food. A big hit was the Gelato! They also had the opportunity to hit up some of the shops while they we’re also allowed to go to the top level of the mall to see a view that looked over the circle in Plaça d'España.

It is announced during halftime at every home football game, “And now, please welcome...the pride of the Keystone State...The Moravian College Marching Band!” The Moravian Marching Band practices for hours every week and performs at football games and parades. I have been a part of the Color Guard for my marching band in high school and as a member of the Moravian College Color Guard, I have had nothing but the best time performing with this incredible band! I have enjoyed working with Dr. Hess, the band director for the Marching Band, and Ciara Hurley and Miles Molerio, the Color Guard instructors. To showcase the hard work that is put into the marching band, I thought I would share my experience practicing our “Classic Rock” marching show for one week before our big performance at the Collegiate Marching Band Festival!

Since you are a new face at Moravian, I figured it might be nice to detail some of my favorite annual events that happen on or near campus. I wholeheartedly suggest you attend these events at least once before graduating, as being a part of our community is what makes our community, well, ours. That being said, I guess this message is not only to freshman but also to seniors: while you still have the chance, do it.
