Nancy Clark, assistant dean for music, appeared on National Public Radio affiliate WDIY-FM on February 15. Her interview with program host Marty Richter focused on the upcoming concert at Moravian by tenor Lawrence Brownlee.

Dick Claussen, coordinator of academic camps and special projects, and advisor to the Benigna, reports that Moravian’s yearbook has been granted an honorable mention award of excellence by Taylor Publishing. Each year Taylor recognizes the top ten percent of the yearbooks it publishes with such a designation.

A book review by Michelle Schmidt, associate professor of psychology, titled "Positive Youth Development: Still Working to Build the Village," has been published in PsycCRITIQUES, the American Psychological Association’s online review of books. She reviewed Mobilizing Adults for Positive Youth Development: Strategies for Closing the Gap between Beliefs and Behaviors.

Joel Wingard, professor of English, co-chaired the winter quarterly meeting of the Philadelphia Area Writing Program Administrators at West Chester University on February 2. The meeting included panelists from four schools speaking on hiring practices with respect to writing programs. A six-foot hoagie was enjoyed by many. The day concluded with a visit to WCU’s new writing center. Joel is in the second of his three years as executive committee co-chair.

An article by Erica Yozell, assistant professor of Spanish, titled "Negotiating the Abyss: The Narration of Mourning in Sergio Chejfec’s Los Planetas," has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Latin American Literary Review.
