Baseball star Monte Irvin, who played out his Hall of Fame career both in the Negro Leagues and with the New York Giants, has many stories to tell. He'll be joined by Lawrence D. Hogan, senior professor of history at Union County College in New Jersey and author of Shades of Glory: The Negro Leagues & the Story of African-American Baseball.

The Moravian College Women's Chorus presents a choral piece arranged for a capella women's voices; the work was created by internees in a Japanese prison camp for women and children during World War Two. A pre-concert lecture will be offered by choir director Eduardo Azzati, with remarks by Antoinette Colijn Mayer, a survivor of the camp and a member of the original "vocal orchestra" that performed it while in captivity.
