Hundreds of Moravian College alumni reunited on campus October 17 and 18 for the College's annual Homecoming festivities. The first ever "Fifth Quarter Reunion Party" was a highlight of the weekend, attracting alumni from the reunion classes of 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, and—celebrating their zero-year reunion—the class of 2008. Held in the Dining Room Annex of the HUB, the Fifth Quarter gave alumni of all ages the chance to reconnect and reminisce, while enjoying the men's soccer game against Susquehanna.

Five Moravian alumni athletes were inducted into the Hall of Fame on October 17—Douglas Durepo ’94, Alan Heverly ’96, Thomas Ike ’90, Vince Seaman ’65 and Joe Hoffmeier ’88, who received the Robert M. Herbstman Award. Also honored was the 1975-76 Men’s Basketball team. A reception and ceremony was held in Johnston Hall where alumni, coaches, faculty, staff and student athletes shared memories of victorious moments at Moravian sporting events.

Thank-a-Thon Week 2008

The Student Alumni Association (SAA) will kick-off its first ever Thank-a-Thon week, beginning November 3, to recognize alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Moravian who made gifts to the College during the fiscal year 2007-08. SAA will have postcards available in the Kiosk of the HUB throughout the week for students to send a "thank-you" note to those who donated to the College. The goal: 1,000 thank-you postcards signed and mailed by students to donors by November 7—thanking donors, while teaching students the importance of philanthropy in supporting Moravian College.
