Odell Guyton '77, Microsoft Corp. Director of Compliance and Moravian College trustee, has been named one of the "100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics 2008" by Ethisphere Magazine.

Also named to the prestigious list were President Barack Obama, Hedge Fund Chairman T. Boone Pickens, and Pulitzer Prize winner Thomas Friedman. "I was quite surprised to receive the recognition," said Guyton.

According to Ethisphere, "Guyton has had to deal with as much as a Director of Compliance can ever hope (or fear) to deal with in one year, and it never seems to end. He's been forced into the position as a leader in these matters, as Microsoft dealt with anti-trust issues (and others) all around the globe."

In addition to serving as Senior Corporate Attorney for Microsoft, Odell Guyton is co-chair of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. He is married to Karen Boyer Guyton '78.

Looking Ahead in the New Year

With rising unemployment, falling home values, and woes on Wall Street, everyone is concerned about what's next for the economy. While nobody can predict the future, we all need to plan for it—and a sound plan should include life insurance.

This month, you'll receive information in the mail about Life for Life, an insurance plan with features and benefits available through your affiliation with the Alumni Association of Moravian College.  Life for Life can:

  1. Supplement coverage you currently have;
  2. Replace lost benefits if you become unemployed;
  3. Provide coverage for family members.

If you miss the mailing or need more information, please visit www.meyerandassoc.com/ma/moravian or call (800) 635-7801.
