Changes at Moravian Theological Seminary

Angela Colon-Rivera '07
Angela Colon-Rivera has joined the Moravian Theological Seminary as its new director of enrollment. Colon-Rivera earned her undergraduate degree from Moravian College in 2007 before serving on the college’s admissions staff, where she was promoted to senior assistant of admissions in 2011.

She brings enthusiasm, passion for helping students and knowledge of recruitment techniques to the office of enrollment. In a message to students, Colon-Rivera writes, “In my time here as a student as well as an administrative employee, I have come to truly appreciate being surrounded by the greatness that is the Moravian community. My hopes and dreams in my new role are to offer you the encouragement to embrace your God-given talents and think about how you can give back to the community by embracing the mission of the institution.”

Colon-Rivera takes the position held for ten years by Ann Gibson, who has taken the position as director of development for the Northeast Ministry, a social service agency serving children and families of the Marvine-Pembroke area of Bethlehem.

Ann Gibson

At a farewell event attended by students, faculty and staff on Monday, January 28, MTS Dean and Vice President Frank Crouch remarked on Gibson’s devotion to the students and to the mission of the Seminary.

“Ann has been a positive force for good in the midst of this community—as a model of commitment to the Seminary’s mission, excellence in her own work, making changes and innovations where needed, and actively cultivating a sense of belonging and a rich quality of life among our students.

"Over the years I have heard countless unsolicited testimonials to Ann from students, faculty, and staff. So, I say for us all, we thank you, we will miss you, and we pray that all God’s blessings will go with you.”
