The Award from PITTCON Will Positively Impact Student Research

BETHLEHEM, PA., March 6, 2017- Today, Moravian College announced the Biochemistry program has been awarded a grant from the Pittsburgh Conference Memorial National College Grants (PCMNCG) Program for the purchase of a NanoDrop spectrophotometer—the gold standard instrument of microscale spectrophotometry.

Moravian College announced that Dr. James (Jay) Scifers, Chair, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences has been named the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s (NATA) 2017 Professional Development Excellence Award.
Dr. Tom Egan from Moravian College and Dr. Christopher Borick from Muhlenberg College will present “Paths to Sustainability: The Tellus Institute’s Scenarios” on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Haupert Union Building, UBC room, on Moravian College’s Main Street Campus.

Bethlehem, Pa., February 7, 2017: Moravian College named 610 students to the Dean’s Honor List for the Fall 2016 semester. Students who carry three or more course units during the fall or spring term and attain a GPA for the term of 3.50 or higher are placed on the Dean’s Honor List. The Moravian College Writers' Conference will return in February 2017 with writing workshops, craft talks, readings, and a keynote address by poet and essayist Alison Hawthorne Deming titled “Coming Home to Earth: What Purse Seines, Pumpjacks and a Twitter Feed from Space Taught One Worried Citizen About the Beauty of Climate Change."

Jeffrey Toobin, senior legal analyst for CNN Worldwide, will present “The Supreme Court in the Post-Obama Age” at Moravian College on Wednesday, October 26, at 8:00 p.m. in Johnston Hall as part of the 2016 Cohen Arts and Lectures Series.
Moravian College was recently awarded a $35,000 grant from the R.K. Laros Foundation, Inc. to support a community health room in the College’s new Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Center for Health Sciences.
